Boulogne Billancourt: Back to the thirties!

Boulogne Billancourt: a few minutes from west of Paris, this very ‘chic” Parisian suburb, became famous during the Thirties.
Considered as the 21st arrondissement of Paris, this fantastic town is the best illustration of 1930’s French Architecture. Furthermore the movie industry and the automobile industry made this city famous in the 20th century.     Just next to Paris, above the Parc des Princes stadium, you will discover a quiet district, with houses of two or three floors. Some of them have been built in the Twenties and Thirties by the best architects of the time. They are named Le Corbusier, Mallet-Stevens, Perret, Garnier, Lurçat.
Their creations are remarkable by their geometric shapes, large scale windows and perfect lines. During a two hours walk, you will see how these artists have given rise to modern architecture.
